meet Jalyse
Hi, I'm jalyse stewart
an associate Marriage and Family Therapist.
I’m here to support your healing journey with warmth, presence, and care. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy, particularly for women navigating the lasting effects of childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, and complex PTSD. My work is rooted in deep compassion and a belief in each person’s capacity to grow, reclaim their voice, and reconnect with themselves.
A Safe, Culturally Responsive Space
As a Black woman and therapist, I know how important it is to feel seen and understood. I work closely with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients to create an inclusive, affirming space where your full identity is honored. Whether you’re working through cultural identity, trauma, or simply trying to feel more grounded, I bring a curious, nonjudgmental presence to our sessions so you don’t have to navigate it all alone.
How I Work
My approach is collaborative, gentle, and empowering. I draw from a blend of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic practices. Depending on your needs, I may also integrate solution-focused therapy and couples counseling grounded in family systems work. I work best with those who are ready to explore both the "why" behind their experiences and the "how" of moving forward with intention and self-trust.
Areas I Support
Most of my clients are navigating some combination of trauma, anxiety, shame, or emotional disconnection. I also frequently support those dealing with ADHD, codependency, childhood trauma, or the lingering effects of sexual harassment and assault. I welcome individuals and couples alike, especially those looking for a space to process complex experiences with care and clarity.
Let’s Reclaim Your Voice and Power
Therapy with me isn’t just about symptom relief—it’s about healing old wounds, rebuilding trust in yourself, and stepping into the life you want to live. If you’re looking for someone who truly sees you and will walk alongside you with empathy and skill, I’d be honored to be part of your journey.
