Who we see in Pleasant Hill
The patterns that bring Pleasant Hill clients in.
Pleasant Hill runs on family logistics. A lot of who we see are parents in the thick of it — dual-career couples with kids in the Mt. Diablo district, families stacked between after-school pickup and a bedtime that never quite holds, parents who haven't had a real one-on-one conversation with their partner that wasn't about the kids in more months than they'd like to admit. Therapy here is often about carving out the time and attention the relationship stopped getting once the kids arrived — and about naming what both people lost track of in the meantime.
We also see a lot of individual clients — high-functioning anxiety in parents, late-diagnosis ADHD (often in someone who just started medicating their kid and realized they should probably ask about themselves), midlife reassessment in couples at the fifteen-year mark, grief, the long-tail of family-of-origin stuff that surfaces when you have your own kids.
Geographically, we serve clients across Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Clayton, and the broader central-Contra-Costa area — plus anywhere else in California via telehealth.

Common questions from Pleasant Hill clients.
Do you see clients who live in Pleasant Hill?
+
Yes. Pleasant Hill is part of our core service area and sits between our Walnut Creek business address and Concord. We're telehealth-first across California — Pleasant Hill clients meet with us via secure video from home, office, or a quiet spot during a work break.
We have young kids. Is telehealth couples therapy realistic?
+
Yes — in fact, it's often easier than in-person for parents of young children. Partners log in from the same device once the kids are in bed, or from different rooms if someone's on bedtime duty. You save the commute and the childcare cost, and you skip the "now we have to drive home and not talk about it" part. Most of our Pleasant Hill couples are parents and choose telehealth for exactly this reason.
Do you work with parenting stress and the parent-teen dynamic?
+
Yes. We work with parents individually on the emotional load of raising kids — the anxiety, the self-doubt, the unprocessed material from your own childhood that surfaces when you're parenting. For the teens themselves, we work with older teens (16+) on anxiety, ADHD, identity, and family dynamics. For younger kids we'd refer out to a child-specialized therapist.
Are evening and weekend sessions available?
+
Yes. We run evenings and weekends seven days a week, which is when most Pleasant Hill parents actually have time. Tell us your available windows at the consult and we'll match you with a therapist whose hours fit.
